Vagabonds beat Oldershaw 29-17 at Ballafletcher on Saturday in Lancashire/Cheshire Three.
Steve Logan’s first-minute try augured well for Vagas. He soon added a second and made a third for Dylan Chambers. When Rob Pease sprinted in on the half hour, Vagas secured the try bonus point and it was looking like a big score was on the cards.
Oldershaw regrouped at half-time and just after the break Nige Clark went in for their opening try which Mark Hallam converted. Josh Smith went in for Oldershaw’s second before Cam Findlay settled the Vagas nerves with a try which he converted himself. Oldershaw had the final say though when Kieran Smith went over in the final play of the game.
