Four of Sure Vagabonds women’s squad will be representing their club and the Isle of Man when they travel to Winnington Park this weekend to take part in Cheshire county trials.

Corrina Daly, Lauren Ellison, Sammie Macdonald and Hailey Coutts have played pivotal roles in Vagabonds’ recent successes earning themselves a shot at a county call-up.

Current captain Daly came to Vagabonds having previously played Gaelic Football and after turning her hand to rugby five years ago she is a powerful and driving force in the current team.

Daly’s predecessor Ellison is in her seventh season at Vagabonds, has a phenomenal tackle rate, quick hands and calm decision-making under pressure, a key skill set for a promising stand-off.

Macdonald converted to rugby, from football, four years ago and has found her perfect place as a fullback.

Her speed, vision and kicking ability has provided most opposition with a problem this season.

Coutts is a strong, experienced and versatile forward who provides strength and options for the Vagabonds pack. Good luck to all.
