In Manx Hockey Association’s Men’s Premier League, both Saracens and Ramsey have yet to register a point so far this season.
The two sides have had tough starts to the campaign facing the top three teams, but this weekend represents an opportunity for both teams to move themselves away from the relegation zone.
With Bacchas playing in the England Hockey Championships on Sunday against Bowden’s first team, this also represents the only local men’s top flight fixture this weekend.
In the Women’s Premier League, Bacchas A face a Valkyrs side who are battling for the title.
With the strength in depth Valkyrs have, they should record a win but Bacchas have been improving as the season goes on with new faces settling in and could challenge their opponents.
There is a big southern derby taking place in the shape of Castletown A versus Saracens A, with Town going into the game as favourites but their opponents will be fighting tooth and nail to claim the bragging rights.

Elsewhere in Manx hockey, Castletown B take on Saracens B in Men’s Division Two in another southern derby treat for the fans.

Valkyrs C take on Bacchas C in a bottom-of-the-table clash, while Harlequins B and Bacchas Colts will also go head-to-head on Saturday.
Women’s Division Two sees Bacchas C welcome Valkyrs C while Ramsey B make the long journey south to take on Saracens B at King William’s College.
