There was a sixth successive women’s team gold medal for Manx Harriers in the Lancashire Cross-Country Championships at Witton Park, Blackburn on Saturday.
The four scorers were Rachael Franklin (who finished second), Karen Shimmin (ninth), Elissa Morris (10th) and Gail Griffiths (11th).
Franklin took an individual silver in the senior women’s class, Griffiths grabbed gold in the 50 age group and Caroline Mayers got silver in the 45 age group.
David Mullarkey (also of Manx Harriers) was the silver medallist in the Junior Men’s race.
Northern Athletics Club won the team silver medal in the Under-13 boys’ race, with the four scorers being Sam Perry (seventh), Cian Howard (eighth), Charlie Teare (13th) and Lucas Stennett (14th).
Ella Crowe (Northern AC) was the bronze medallist in the U15 girls’ race.
