Domestic motorcycling has had the slowest start in living memory, down to a combination of lockdown measures and extreme weather.

Southern Motor Cycle Club was set to get the ball rolling with two competitive events this weekend.

Their timecard enduro, round one of the IoM ACU Centre championship, was called off at DEFA’s request because of excessive water in Cringle plantation.

The club had also scheduled a solo/sidecar trial at it’s home venue, Carnagrie, on Sunday but this has now also succumbed to the weather because of the poor forecast.

Several events are planned for February 21, including youth and vintage trials plus a motocross at Knock Froy.
