Today, Thursday, is traditionally championship day for the Isle of Man Steam Packet-sponsored Southern 100.

Roads close round the 4.25-mile Colas Billown course this morning at 9.30 for the opening six-lap 600cc C race starting at 9.50am.

This will be followed by the S&S Motors 600cc race (7 laps), the Pole Position Travel 600cc B race (7 laps) and the Island Aggregates Superbike race (7 laps).

Roads will open at approximately 12.15pm for 45 minutes for lunch and re-close at 1pm.

The Ocean Motor Village 250cc/650cc Race (6 laps) will start at 1.20pm, followed by the IoM Steam Packet Company 125cc/400cc/450cc and Electric Motorcycles race (6 laps).

Concluding the four-day meeting will be the Hunts Motorcycles Solo Championship race (9 laps) at approximately 2.40pm, the Daryl Blake Construction Ltd Sidecar Championship (8 laps) and the Hunts Motorcycles 600cc Challenge Race (7 laps).
