The inaugural Rigid Turkey race is taking place on Saturday, December 30 round a Noble’s Park-based course.
It will be for teams of two in a relay on rigid bikes (mtb, road or cyclo-cross). It will be on TLI entries (£15 per team) and all proceeds will go to the James Berry Fund.
The forestry department is supplying some logs for obstacles, so the event will involve some bike carrying.
It will be for teams of two, one lap on, one lap off. Any bike welcome, mtbs must have any suspension locked but only a team on a full rigid (or sharing a rigid) can lift the 4ft tall cup originally won and donated by UAE Team Emirates pro-rider Ben Swift.
Signing on for the relay will be at 10am, for a 10.30 start.
There will also be Zurich Youth Races in the BMX track area, sign on 9am for a 9.15 start.
Entries to Rob Sorby, 13 Cronkbourne, Douglas, IM2 3LA or sign on at Bikestyle.
The events will be followed by a presentation and refreshments, when spot prizes will be handed out.
