There is a total entry of 286 competitors for this Sunday’s Syd Quirk Half-Marathon, including 62 walkers.
Leading names for the run include Jack Okell, Orran Smith, Michael Garrett, Jamie Newton, Nick Colburn, Sarah Webster, Eleanor Miklos, Peter Kennaugh and Ali Morris.
For the walk: Adam Cowin, James Quirk, Hannah Hunter, Sam Fletcher, Robbie Callister, Adam Killip Jayne Farquhar and Marie Jackson.
The start and finish for the Haldane Fisher-sponsored event is at Ronaldsway Industrial Estate and the run forms the 2019 IoM Half-Marathon Championship.
Registration takes place tomorrow (Friday) from 5.30 to 7.30pm at Manx Harriers clubhouse, NSC. No registration on race day.
The walk will begin at 8.30am, followed by runners who expect to take longer than 2hr 15min at 8.45am and the faster runners at 9.30am.
The course takes in a single lap of the industrial estate, followed by the airport bypass road to Ballasalla, then Cross Four Ways, Ballabeg, Ballakeighan, Castletown Bypass and KWC straight (two laps), finishing with a further lap of the industrial estate at the end.
