Team RL360’s Dot Tilbury recently attended Cycling Time Trials annual Champions’ Night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Heythrop Park, Oxon.

The evening was a celebration of the very best time trialling achievements in 2016.

Cycling Weekly columnist Michael Hutchinson was the MC and CTT chairman Sheila Hardy presented the prizes alongside guest of honour World Championship and Commonwealth Games medallist Tony Gibb.

Dot was at the function to collect the medals and silverware that RL360 riders Thomas Bostock, Will Draper and Adam Kelly earned for winning the prestigious team title at last September’s British national final of the GHS youth 10-mile time trial championships.

In the final at Stratford in Warwickshire the talented Manx trio, who were unable to attend the dinner themselves, clocked a combined time of 1hr 04min 39sec, the second fastest time in the history of the competition, to beat their nearest rivals by a clear 22 sec.

Unfortunately, the magnificent GHS team shield that the team was presented with could not be brought back to the island for display as the insurance cover for such a priceless item could not be obtained.
