Vikings B go head-to-head with Valkyrs B in Peel this Saturday in what is a title bout in PwC Mixed Division One.
If Valkyrs win it will draw them level and see the two sides race to score more goals before the end of the season, but a Vikings win puts them four points clear at the top of the table.
Although Vikings beat Valkyrs on the opening day of the campaign, Valkyrs have been able to bring in players during the season including the likes of Chris Caldwell and Ollie Webster who have made a huge difference, helping their side remain unbeaten since that opening day defeat.
Elsewhere in Division One, Bacchas C face off against relegation favourites Vikings C. If the latter are to going to survive this season, this is a must-win game for them.
Another key match is Harlequins A versus Saracens Sabres. Harlequins have shown some good performances the past few weeks, but Saracens should prove too strong on this occasion.
In PwC Mixed Division Two, league leaders Ramsey Ravens take on Valkyrs C in a game that should see Ramsey take home another two points and remain undefeated.
Ramsey Rookies will be looking to gain some traction in their battle for survival against Castletown Cammags. The relegation battle in this league could well be a really close battle depending on the outcome of this match.
Bacchas Colts have enjoyed a bit of a renaissance recently: after looking like sure-fire relegation candidates, they have dragged themselves out of the dropzone and will be looking to cement their improvement against a very impressive Saracens Colts side.
PwC Mixed Premier League will see a Bacchas inter-club derby between their A and B teams and Vikings take on a wasteful Valkyrs A side who, by their own admission, haven’t been clinical enough in front of goal.
The game of the day in the Premier League has to be Castletown Celts versus Ramsey A and, although the northerners start as nailed-on favourites, you always get the impression that they can come unstuck against seemingly-lesser opposition.
As the halfway point of the season in PwC Mixed Division Three comes up, teams will be battling to remain in the top half of the league before it splits and, with two games to go, it is still mighty close.
Both Castletown Southerners and Bacchas D sit just outside the top half and will be desperate for the two points this weekend. Bacchas D take on Valkyrs D who sit just inside the top half and Southerners take on current league leaders Vikings D.
Elsewhere in this league, bottom side Saracens Sharks take on Harlequins Colts which should see both points go to the latter team in their race for the championship, while Vikings Colts take Harlequins B.
