David Knight won Southern MCC’s hare and hounds scramble at Carnagrie last Wednesday evening, in more-or-less ideal conditions.
It was certainly a vast improvement on the original date two days earlier (bank holiday Monday), the event wisely being postponed well in advance because of the poor weather forecast.
Knighter rattled off 14 laps of the course in two hours to finish one circuit clear of Craig Norrey and Grant Thomson.
Young Bobby Moyer rode well to hold off the experienced Ryan Cringle and Gav Hunt for fourth.
Tom Cannell edged home one lap ahead of Centre champion Kane Hall in the quad class, while Will Cawte and Leo McVicar chalked up 12 laps between them in the pairs and Nigel Beaumont did well to complete nine on his Honda flapper.
