Vikings D produced another sharp performance to beat Ramsey Rookies 9-0 in Rossborough Mixed Division Three on Saturday afternoon.
Although Rookies had chances they were unable to convert and Vikings ended up capping off a good performance with two hat-trick heroes in the shape of Andrew Harding and Danny Kane.
The latter scored one of the goals of the season with a deft chip while diving, putting the ball over the keeper into the back of the net.
All Vikings D need to do this weekend to secure the title is earn a draw, and given their form so far this season this is not insurmountable.
Southerners were held to a draw by Bacchas D, while Vikings Colts were defeated by Valkyrs D in what proved to be two very close games.
Harlequins B is a team everyone is rooting for this year. Despite more often than not being short of players, they continue to turn up every week and enjoy themselves regardless of the result, displaying true grit.
They lost to Saracens Sharks on Saturday, but can hold their heads high despite the defeat.
Saracens Sabres also continued their march to become Rossborough Mixed Division One champions when they beat Bacchas C 9-2.
Saracens have been the form team of the campaign and continue to be favourites to take the title and earn their place in the top flight. The team has grown in confidence and experience over the past few years and will be an exciting prospect if they make it to the Premier League.
Bacchas B continued their chase of Sabres with a dominant performance against Ramsey Ravens and will be hoping to carry their form into the final few weeks of the season.
Valkyrs B put Harlequins A to the sword, and it is looking increasingly likely that Quins will be relegated unless they can find a point from somewhere before the end of the season.
Ramsey A found themselves on the wrong side of a 2-3 scoreline against Vikings B in Rossborough Mixed Premier League, meaning they continue to hover just above the danger zone in the top flight. They will be desperate to secure survival over the coming weeks.
Vikings B are flying high following their promotion last year and are currently third in the table behind their own A team. Although the latter side struggled in the early parts of the season, they have found their scoring touch in the past few weeks and Saturday saw them put four goals past Valkyrs A to keep the pressure on Bacchas A at the top of the table.

But closest challengers, Vikings C, managed to pull off the win they desperately needed to reignite their title challenge and narrow the deficit to the leaders to two points.
Saracens Colts continue to hold all the aces as Vikings must rely on someone else beating Saracens Colts to have any chance of taking the title.
