The Winter Walking League commences this Sunday morning on the NSC perimeter road (traffic free), sponsored by Up & Running Ltd.

Registration will be in hosting club Manx Harriers’ HQ from 9am for a 10 o’clock start.

Round two will take place on November 24 round Andreas village from 10am (open roads), sign on at Andreas village hall from 9.30am.

Round three is on December 15 at Ramsey, 10am, also on open roads, with signing on at Ramsey Rugby Club from 9.15am.

The dates and venues for the final two rounds will be announced as soon as the Isle of Man athletics fixtures for 2020 are agreed.

Competitors are asked to ensure that fluorescent/bright clothing (ie not black) is worn on the open roads events. Also note that the use of headphones is banned on open road courses. Numbers are issued for the entire series on the first league event entered, so please retain the number until after the final round.

Entry fees per round: £5 athletics club members; £7 non-athletics club members; £1 junior athletes.

The distances are 10km - senior (u17 athletes and over); 5km - senior and junior (u15 and over); 3km - junior (u15 and over); 2km - junior (u13 and over); 1km - junior (u11 and over).
