Michael James Holden, aged 55, of Fairways Drive, Douglas, has appeared in court charged with assault causing actual bodily harm and property damage.
The offences are alleged to have been committed on August 8.
He was represented in court by advocate Jane Gray.
The case was adjourned until September 12 to allow time for discussions between the prosecution and defence.
Bail continues.
