The Isle of Man will go to the polls on Thursday, September 24, to elect 24 Members of the House of Keys for the next five-year term.

Each of the Island’s 12 constituencies will elect two MHKs, with eight candidates standing in Glenfaba and Peel.

Here is a look at the candidates hoping to secure one of the two seats in the constituency.

* Katryna Baptist - Independent

Katryna Baptist is an independent candidate and Peel Town Commissioner, having joined the commission in 2025. She is a guest house operator and is standing in a General Election for the first time.

Her priorities are government accountability and transparency, housing and healthcare.

* Mark Cleator - Change

Mark Cleator is standing for the new Change party and is one of its founding members. The IT business owner says the island needs principled leadership, stronger accountability and a government which is run by those elected to serve the public.

Change's priorities include government reform, housing and strengthening the economy.

* Colleen Dale-Beeton - Independent

Colleen Dale-Beeton is an independent candidate who works as an accounts manager for a construction firm, having previously worked across accountancy, payroll, operations and financial services.

She says she wants to restore clarity, financial accountability and trust in government, and find 'Manx solutions to Manx problems'.

Her priorities include helping young people onto the property ladder, creating more affordable homes, reducing government waste and getting 'back to basics' in education and public services.

* Daniel Davison - Independent

Daniel Davison is standing for the first time and is currently the youngest candidate to have declared, having recently completed his A Levels.

He owns a barber shop and marketing agency and says his experience running a business has given him an insight into the concerns facing islanders, particularly young families, farmers and people worried about the pace of change.

His priorities are retaining young people in the island, ensuring infrastructure is in place before further development and improving transparency and accountability.

* James Hampton - Independent

James Hampton describes himself as a 'professional Jack-of-all-trades', having run businesses and worked in sectors including retail, civil engineering and construction.

He believes government reform is at the root of addressing issues including health, housing and the economy.

His priorities are government reform, transparency, and economic and social sustainability.

* Ray Harmer - Independent

Ray Harmer is a former Glenfaba and Peel MHK, having represented the constituency between 2015 and 2021, and is now a Peel Commissioner and lead business analyst.

Standing for the fifth time in a General Election, he says he wants to focus on practical results rather than political point-scoring.

His priorities include health and social care, economic growth, financial responsibility, infrastructure, connectivity and security.

* Alex Perriam - Independent

Alex Perriam is an independent candidate who has spent his career managing businesses, teaching and mentoring young people and volunteering with local organisations. He is now manager of Jac's Stores in Douglas.

He has highlighted affordable housing, healthcare, the cost of living, support for local businesses and farming, and protecting Peel's character.

His priorities are 'getting the basics right', building a stronger future for Glenfaba and Peel, and having an open, responsible and accountable government.

* Geoffrey Pugh - Independent

Geoffrey Pugh, a former Royal Navy officer, has held senior leadership roles within Isle of Man Government, including as interim airport director.

Making his first General Election bid, he says the island already offers an excellent place to grow up and wants to help make it a place where people can build their entire lives.

He says decisions should be based on listening, evidence and sound judgement rather than ideology.

His priorities are the economy, infrastructure and the island's resilience.
