A serving police officer will be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery in December.
Stephanie Marie Shaw, aged 32, of North Shore Road, Ramsey, has been charged with drink-driving, careless driving, failing to report an accident, and perverting the course of justice.
The last offence can only be heard at the higher court.
She was not required to appear in court on Thursday as the case is heading towards the committal on December 3.

Emergency services control worker Janeann Doyle, aged 36, of Vicarage Close, Ballabeg, is charged with an act against public justice.
That offence can also be heard only at the higher court.
She appeared in court on Thursday and will be committed to the higher court on December 10 as her advocate is unavailable on December 3.
