A man accused of headbutting a bouncer at a Douglas nightclub is due to appear in court this morning.

Police said the alleged incident happened over the weekend, at the Courthouse Nightclub, and the male was subsequently charged and held at police headquarters overnight until his appearance at court.

A police statement added: ’We fully support the licensing trade and ask people to #DrinkSafeIOM during the remaining holiday period.’
