A building firm is back in business after an arson attack.
Burglars broke in Kennaugh & Skinner, in Athol Place, Port Erin, last week and stole a safe before setting fire to the office.
The raid happened sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
On its Facebook page, Kennaugh & Skinner says a temporary office has been set up and new phone lines and internet access are being installed.
It says its office in Castletown remains unaffected.
Police say the stolen safe has now been recovered.
A local man has been arrested and has been bailed pending further inquiries while investigations continue.
Detectives from CID say they are satisfied that there is no further risk to the public or any premises at this time.
A spokesman said: ‘Police would like to re-assure the public that inquiries are ongoing and we would urge any member of the public to come forward if they feel they have any information regarding this matter or if they may have witnessed anything which they feel is suspicious in this area overnight October 25-26, no matter how insignificant they feel it may be.’
Kennaugh & Skinner posted on Facebook: ‘As many of you will know, overnight Wed/Thur last week our Port Erin office was broken into, our safe was stolen and the office was then set alight.
‘Thanks to Chris at Mann Crane Hire we have been able to set up a temporary office on site and we are currently waiting for new phone lines and internet access to be installed.
‘Phone lines for the Port Erin office are currently being diverted to Doug’s mobile. The Castletown office remains fully operational.
‘The guys are still all out and about working so if you have any building or glazing works that you would like us to take a look at please do not hesitate to call us on 836065.’
