A Douglas man accused of attempted murder will have his case heard by a higher court.
Paul Michael Dale Ford of Willaston Crescent appeared before magistrates via video link charged with attempted murder, making a threat to kill or cause injury, assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
He gave a no plea to assault when he appeared before magistrates on Thursday.
The court heard that the 29-year-old allegedly stabbed a man with a kitchen knife following an argument and stamped on a woman’s head.

The incidents were said to have taken place on Saturday on the junction of Barrule Road and Willaston Crescent.
Magistrates agreed with advocate David Reynolds that the case should not be dealt with in summary courts.
Ford will remain remanded before he is to appear in court via a video link on August 13.
He will appear for a committal proceedings in the Court of General Gaol Delivery later this month.
