TT racing may be finished, but the roads policing operation continues until the Mountain Road returns to being two way on Monday afternoon.
A visiting biker escaped with minor injuries this afternoon (Friday) after running wide on a corner and riding their motorcycle off the edge of the road at Brandywell.
They were able to scramble back up the bank onto the road by themselves. A doctor on duty with the roads policing unit was there shortly afterwards.
Police said the casualty was taken to Noble’s Hospital with very minor injuries.
The Mountain Road was closed from Ramsey Hairpin to the Creg-ny-baa to allow emergency services to safely deal with the injured rider and clear any debris.
Police said the biker won’t be riding his motorcycle back home as it was extensively damaged.
