The fire service were called out three times within 14 hours.
The occupant had got out before firefighters arrived and was checked over by ambulance crews.
At 5.20pm crews and the duty officer were sent to a two-vehicle road accident at the Orrisdale Road junction near Ballasalla.
Firefighters helped ambulance crews to remove one person from one of the vehicles into the waiting ambulance. Another person was also transferred to a waiting ambulance.
Crews were there for about 50 minutes.
This morning at 6.30am crews from Douglas station along with the duty officer were sent to a property in Williston as a neighbour had reported hearing an alarm sounding and could smell smoke.
A pan was found to have been left on the hob.
The occupant was helped from the property and no injuries were reported.
A spokesman said: ’No one was injured or hurt during this incident but we would like to remind people of the importance of working smoke alarms, which operated during this incident and gave early warning. Please ensure that you have a working smoke alarm and test it on a regular basis as working smoke alarms save lives.’
