Emergency services were called out on Sunday to help an off-road motorcyclist who was injured on a hill above Glen Maye.

Peel Coastguard, paramedics and Hogg Motorsport Rescue were involved in transporting the motorcyclist from Carnagrie, near Arrasey plantation, and on to Noble’s Hospital.

In a statement, Peel Coastguard said it received a call- out at just after 1.15pm to provide a 4x4 vehicle to move the casualty.

’On arrival the team met with Hogg Motorsport Rescue and paramedics who were treating the rider.

’An extraction plan was put into place and once the paramedics gave the okay to move the casualty they were placed in our basket stretcher and transferred to our Land Rover.

’Once the casualty was comfortable they were driven out to the waiting ambulance and then on to Noble’s for treatment.’
