Police are appealing for information after a gate near Sulby Claddaghs was ’extensively damaged’.
A wooden gate at close to the northern side of the campsite in Sulby is thought to have been damaged by between 5.30pm on Sunday and 10.30am on Monday.
In a facebook status, the Police have said: ’The gate pictured has been hit with some considerable force and it is suspected that a vehicle has been used to damage it.
’If you have any information regarding this senseless act then please contact Ramsey Police Station on 812234 or call the Anonymous Crimestoppers Line on 0800 555 111.’
The gate was put in place to prevent motorists from accessing a public pathway, which leads to the Sulby village.
The informal camping spot is open to the public during the Easter Weekend and from May 1 to September 31.
Users of the camping ground, which contains basic facilities, must have a permit to camp overnight.
