A car ended up on its roof in an accident this morning.

At 9am fire and rescue crews from Douglas and Castletown were called to the accident at Poacher’s Pocket in Ballasalla.

The driver got out of the car before crews got there and was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries.

A fire and rescue service spokesman said: ’After a prolonged dry spell the recent rain can make some roads slippery, so until the sun comes back the Fire Service advise all drivers to be cautious.’
