Richard Malcolm Powell, aged 60, of Lhergy Cripperty, Union Mills, has had his court case delayed by a week due to him isolating.
Mr Powell has previously denied threatening behaviour, driving while disqualified and a provoking behaviour offence.
He was granted permission to leave the island and had hoped to take a Covid-19 test seven days after returning and then attend court on October 15.
However, Mr Rodgers told the court on Thursday that the conditions of the test did not allow his client to attend court and his 14-day isolation period did not end until October 21.
The case was therefore adjourned and a pre-trial review will be held on Thursday this week, October 22.
Bail continues.
