A pedestrian was injured after falling onto the sea wall ledge on Loch Promenade, Douglas.
Emergency services were called to the aid of the casualty at 12.40am this morning (Monday).
Due to the precarious position of the injured pedestrian, the fire service positioned its aerial ladder platform to provide a safe working area while crews removed a section of the railings.
Ambulance crews were then able to get better access and provide treatment to the casualty.
Emergency services were in attendance for about 40 minutes.
