This was the scene following a crash at Glen Mona today when a car left the road and rolled onto its roof.

One of the occupants managed to free themselves from the car but a second was trapped inside and had to be rescued by fire crews.

Emergency services including firefighters from Ramsey and Laxey were called at 12.40pm to the single vehicle accident.

Crews extricated the trapped casualty who was treated by ambulance personnel.

Both casualties are believed to have received only minor injuries.

Firefighters remained in attendance for a short while to ensure the vehicle was made safe ready for recovery.
