lKristopher Robert Goldie, aged 28, of Poortown, Peel, has been charged with common assault on a female, provoking behaviour, property damage, and two counts of destroying property.

The incident is alleged to taken place on July 26 and involve domestic abuse and Goldie’s former partner. Defence advocate Jane Gray asked for an adjournment for a mental health report.

Prosecuting advocate James Robinson opposed bail saying the allegation was a very serious case of domestic violence.

Magistrates refused bail and Goldie is remanded in custody until August 27 when he will next appear in court.
