Douglas Coastguards were on hand last night to land a member of crew from a yacht on passage from Scotland past the island who had sustained injuries.

The crew member was brought ashore by members of the Coastguards and passed over to the care of the waiting ambulance crew.

The incident was coordinated by the Marine Operations Centre and all involved followed strict Covid-19 procedures to ensure the safety of all, we were back on station and ready for service again following a clean down of all equipment used by 7pm.
