A 44-year-old Ballasalla woman has been fined £100 for permitting a vehicle to be driven without a licence.
Zoe Claire Thompson, of Old Mart Field Lane, did not attend court but sent a postal admission to the offence.
The court heard how, on January 24, a Transit van belonging to Southern Plumbing and Heating Merchants, of Ballasalla, was stopped by police.
The vehicle was being driven by an employee and the licence had expired in April 2016.
Police spoke to the company’s managing director, Thompson, who said that they were going to renew the tax in February.
She was told that was not how it worked and that the vehicle was being used unlawfully.
Thompson admitted that the vehicle had been on the road since May 2016 without a licence. She was also ordered to pay £50 prosecution costs.
