A 22-year-old Pulrose man has been handed a two-year conditional discharge for cannabis possession.
Jake Corrin, of Heather Crescent, admitted having £108-worth of the drug.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told a court this week how, on September 6, police searched Corrin’s home. They found 4.4 grams on the bedside table worth £88 and a further one gram on a window sill worth £20.
In a police interview Corrin admitted the drugs were his and said it was for personal use.
Defence advocate Peter Taylor said: ’Mr Corrin does use cannabis. He has anxiety problems and finds it the best way to cope with that. He does take it in private but realises he must seek alternative therapies.’
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes told Corrin: ’You need to think about how you are dealing with your anxiety.’
Corrin must pay £125 costs.
