A long-serving police officer will stand trial next month accused of stealing a Rolex watch.

Kevin Scott Williams, aged 49, of Port-e-Chee Avenue, Douglas, denies stealing the watch worth £6,750 during a search of an address.

His trial, scheduled to run for eight days, is due to begin at the Court of General Gaol Delivery on Monday March 2.

Deemster Cook allowed bail to be renewed until that date.
