A Douglas couple have admitted possessing heroin and cannabis.
Matthew David Joseph Prendergast, aged 33, and Gemma Susan Creer, aged 36, both of Mona Street, were found in bed with £100 worth of the class A drug.
They will be sentenced on April 14 after a probation report has been completed.
Prosecuting advocate Hazel Carroon told the court that police executed a search warrant at the couple’s home on November 21 at about 8.10am.
They were in bed and heroin, a loaded syringe, scales, cash and burnt tin foil were found scattered around.
Cannabis weighing 2.6 grams, valued at £52, was also found.
When interviewed Prendergast said that all the drugs were his but that both of them were heroin users and smoked weed.
Creer told police all the drugs belonged to her.
Defence advocate James Peterson, who represented both parties, asked for a probation report to be completed before sentencing.
High Bailiff Jayne Hughes said that Prendergast is still subject to a sentence imposed in 2016 and ordered that the reports consider all options, including custody.
Bail was granted in the sum of £500 with conditions that the couple reside at their home address, contact probation, and not leave the island without court permission.
