A 37-year-old Douglas woman has been fined £100 after breaching a licensing ban by using a pub toilet.
Alison Beckley, of Waverley Terrace, was banned from entering pubs for 12 months in December 2016.
However, she was reported to police when she went into Samuel Webb’s on Marina Road in Douglas on March 26.
The designated official at the pub told police that Beckley had been recognised and asked to leave the pub.
It was said that Beckley had responded by saying ’Can I ask a question?’ but was again told to leave and subsequently did so.
When quizzed by police she said: ’I went into the bar. I went to the loo. I didn’t buy a drink. I was talking outside.’
Beckley was also ordered to pay £50 prosecution costs.
