Police are urging people to avoid travelling on the roads unless ’absolutely necessary’ because of icy conditions.
The force says officers are out and about dealing with crashes at Laxey (Wheel Hill), Brighton Terrace (Douglas) and at Port Jack, which is understood to involve a car and a pedestrian.
A spokesman said: ’Unless absolutely necessary please avoid travelling on the roads.
’Icy conditions are causing issues on numerous roads.’A short time later police said the road at Port Jack was closed because of the collision involving a car and a pedestrian.Police urged people to avoid the area around Port Jack.
