This cyclist was spotted crossing the TT course at Braddan Bridge on his bike during Saturday’s sidecar race.
Today, Luke Browning, 32, who is from the USA, appeared in court where he admitted an offence of going on closed roads and was fined £500 with £125 costs.
He was arrested after pictures emerged of him crossing the road.Browning was spotted getting on his pushbike, cycling across the road, mounting the pavement and heading off in the direction of Quarterbridge.The incident happened at the end of lap one of the race, when the first bikes were approaching the Grandstand and were only a couple of minutes away.
Police said there was a delay in dealing with the man due to the full circumstances of the matter not being communicated at the time to race control - although Browning had been moved to a safe location by race marshals.
