A cyclist who was involved in a road accident with a car on Saturday has died.
Luke McNicholas, a 21-year-old man from Douglas, lost his life as a result of a collision involving a mountain bike he was riding and car on Saturday afternoon on the Curragh Road in St John’s.
The incident occurred at about 3.20pm near to the entrance of the amenity site.
Mr McNicholas suffered severe injuries at the scene and later died at Noble’s Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle involved and other witnesses in the area at the time have been assisting police with inquiries.
The circumstances of the matter are still being investigated.
