William Russell, aged 42, of Berrywoods Grove, Douglas, has appeared in court after denying money laundering offences.
He is accused of removing criminal property from the island to the value of £10,010 and possessing criminal property, namely £13,415 in cash. He was due to be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery but defence advocate Stephen Wood said that he wished to challenge committal saying there was no case to answer. A hearing for the committal challenge will take place on February 4. Bail continues.
