Specialist rescue personnel from Douglas fire station were dispatched this morning to rescue a dog that had fallen down a ravine in Tholt-y-Will.

Upon arrival crews located little ’Dre’ and found that he had fallen approximately 25 metres from a small bridge onto the ground below.

Crews used a nearby tree as an anchor point to facilitate an abseil for Firefighter Hays who found little Dre stuck amongst the trees and foliage.

Thankfully Dre was relatively unhurt and was raised up the steep incline, back into the arms of his owners.
