Police are continuing to investigate a crash in which an injured passenger was left trapped.
The driver left the scene before the emergency services arrived.
Emergency services were called at about 6.10am on Saturday following the single vehicle collision on Patrick Road near Peel.
The passenger, a 32-year-old woman, was trapped inside the Jeep Cherokee.
Fire crews from Peel helped free the casualty after assisting paramedics who carried out precautionary checks on her.
She was taken to hospital but was released later that same day.
Police issued an urgent appeal to locate the driver believing he may have injuries. They subsequently located him at 11.40am.
Police said a 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit to do so due to drink or drugs and driving without due care and attention.
He is now currently on police bail.
Police said the circumstances of the collision are as yet unknown and this is being established as part of the investigation.
Patrick Road between the Slieau Whallian junction and Patrick Corner was closed for several hours following the collision while police carried out an accident investigation.
