This was the scene after a driver was injured in a single vehicle road accident earlier today. (Saturday)

Douglas fire crews dealt with the incident this morning on the main Peel road.

Assisted by paramedics the driver was able to get themselves clear of the vehicle and was then transferred to hospital with minor injuries.

Crews made the vehicle safe and were in attendance for about 20 minutes.
