A motorist who decided to drive in defiance of a court order to retake his test is now waiting to find out his fate.
Craig William Tiernan, of Bay View Road, Port St Mary, was spotted by police leaving the car park of the Manor pub in Willaston on April 26.
For the prosecution, Barry Swain said they followed his Nissan Primera along School Road, stopping him on Tynwald Road. He told the court the 33-year-old was banned from driving for five years in August 2010 and ordered to retake his driving test, which he had not yet done.
He admitted driving without insurance and driving while still subject to a ban.
He was bailed with a £500 recognisance pending completion of a pre-sentence report. He is to reappear before the court for sentencing on August 31.
