A 34-year-old Ramsey man has admitted two counts of importing class ’C’ drugs to the island.

Mark Peter Richards, of Waverley Terrace, received 56 diazepam tablets and 56 pregabalin tablets in the post.

A package was intercepted at the Post Office’s sorting office on May 13.

Defence advocate Jane Gray asked for the case to be adjourned to allow time for a psychiatric report and probation report to be prepared.

Magistrates adjourned the case until October 29.

Richards attended court on a summons so magistrates ruled that no bail was necessary.
