A Pulrose man has admitted being drunk and disorderly and disorderly behaviour outside a town centre bar.
Raymond Matthew James Lovell, aged 22, of Elm Avenue, had the case against him adjourned until August 21 to settle a dispute over the facts of the case.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the court how, on June 10 at 1.20am, police on patrol came across an incident outside the Outback bar in Barrack Street. Douglas,
Lovell was spoken to by police and said to be drunk.
Police were restraining a woman on Nelson Street, which members of the public were filming. That angered Lovell who moved towards them.
It was also alleged that Lovell had punched a glass collector inside the Outback.
Defence advocate Peter Taylor said that his client accepted his disorderly behaviour outside the club but disputed some of the facts presented by the prosecution inside.
The case was adjourned for discussions to take place between the advocates.
Bail continues.
