Emergency repairs have been carried out to a large gas mains rupture in the Braaid area.

Fire crews from Douglas supplied lighting and offered fire cover while colleagues from Manx Gas and Manx Utilities worked on repairing the rupture.

The call-out came at 8.25pm yesterday (Friday).

Crews were in attendance for about 90 mins while the repair took place.
