David Ralph Hewitt Banning, aged 66, of Ballanard Road, Douglas, has appeared in court in relation to charges of possessing a regulated weapon without a certificate and possession of explosives.

He has been committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery to appear there on a date to be set. Bail was granted in the sum of £10,000.

Mr Banning must employ a care assistant 24 hours a day, abide by a curfew, not purchase or consume alcohol in a public place, surrender his passport, and not contact witnesses.
