Firefighters were called out to deal with a fire at a seafront hotel in Douglas.

Crews from Douglas fire station attended the inciDent at the Balmoral Hotel on Loch Promenade at midnight last night (Monday)

They quickly established that the cause of the fire was a failed flourescent strip light On the first floor.

The light was isolated and then replaced later by an electrician. Crews were in attendance for about half an hour.
