Fire crews helped paramedics to evacuate a casualty from the second floor of a block of flats in Douglas.
Crews were called out to a property in Victoria Gardens at 10.55am today (Thursday).
They used an aerial ladder platform to reach the casualty and then extract them from a window.
Douglas fire station officer Matt Tyrer said the condition of the casaulty was ’not believed to be serious’.
On arrival, crews entered the property wearing breathing apparatus, equipped with a high pressure hose reel and thermal imaging camera.
Crews discovered a fault with the oil-fired boiler and isolated the power and checked the area with a thermal imaging camera, and confirmed it was a ’non-fire’ situation.
