The cause of a major blaze in Sulby last night is still under investigation.
Fire crews were called out at just before 7.30pm yesterday (Wednesday) to reports of a large fire that had broken out at a property on Ballamanaugh Road, Sulby.
They arrived at the scene to find a fire involving an 1,800 litre oil tank, a small barn and nearby vegetation.
Three fire engines and off-road Pinzgauer from Ramsey and Kirk Michael attended the incident.
Two breathing apparatus teams were deployed to stop the fire spreading to the nearby property.
Firefighters extinguished the flames and checked surrounding areas with thermal imaging cameras, before addressing further hot spots.
Crews remained in attendance for about two hours.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
