A thief has siphoned off fuel from the tank of a truck parked near the White Hoe industrial estate in Kewaigue.
The truck was in a car park just off Old Castletown Road, near to the White Hoe entrance.
Police said it is likely that this would have taken them some time to force the fuel sender cap off and then get the fuel out of the main tank - and it would have been in clear view.
It is believed the theft took place sometime between 4pm on Wednesday and 8am today (Thursday).
